I’ve taken it upon myself to translate my Japanese host father’s book about his experience teaching at a high school in America.  I call it teaching, but as the blog title suggests, my host father viewed it as his own version of ‘studying abroad at age 66’.  It’s exactly this whimsical sense of curiosity and adventure that makes him such a lovable character, and I want to share him and his story with the world.  I hope you will enjoy reading it as much as I’m enjoying translating it!
